I entered our blog, which laid dormant for more the past 18 months, and found this draft blog post that Becky wrote in January 2014:

We have returned to Canada and have settled in the small town of Three Hills, population 3000! After our (almost) 2 years in the UK, we are amazed at the shaping that God has done in our lives to prepare us for the next ‘adventure’ we have been called to! Stan is the pastor of a church here in Three Hills. There are lots about this job that echoes the hills and valleys we encountered in the UK.
The most amazing thing we are so grateful for is the time we have had to strengthen our marriage and allow us to work together and LOVE IT!! That doesn’t happen all the time for some people, (being together around the clock), but for us it was fantastic and has made our relationship stronger, more committed and more loving because of it. Thank you God!!! We hope to continue to further shalom not only in our lives but in the lives of people we are serving in Three Hills!

Wow, how things have changed in the year.  We have returned to Britain now, moving to Sevenoaks, Kent. A lot has transpired in the year since Becky wrote that unpublished post. We look back and see some things that were tumultuous, and some that were amazing. The long and short of it is that God has walked with us in the good times and the bad. He clearly moved us to leave Three Hills and to move to England. In a followup post, I will post our newsletter sent out last week. Enjoy!

I hope those English are more hospitable this time!

    • Good to hear from you, Malcolm. The Brits are always hospitable, just different from ours western version of hospitable. We have been treated well.
